Sidy Niang

Sidy Niang is the founder and Managing Partner of Icone Capital.

Over recent years, through Icone Capital, he has led and executed more than 20 strategic and financial mandates representing over $200 million in investments-related projects and transactions including acquisitions, capital structuring, industrial expansion, restructurings and complex M&A situations.

His work reflects a capital-oriented and operational perspective shaped by investment exposure and sustained involvement alongside investors, CEOs and management teams within industrial, organizational and governance structures in environments requiring disciplined execution.

Prior to launching Icone Capital, Sidy held senior investment roles within the private equity funds Investisseurs & Partenaires serving as country manager in Senegal and across the Sahel region and started his career at Amethis Finance. He participated in more than 15 equity transactions representing over $100 million in deployed capital across industry, financial services, technology, education and healthcare.

Sidy holds an engineering degree from Centrale Supelec and a Master’s degree in Finance and Strategy from Sciences Po Paris.
